This course introduces the fundamental concepts, theories, and practices of management. It covers the core managerial functions planning, organizing, leading, and controlling and examines the roles and skills of managers in modern organizations. Students gain an understanding of classical and contemporary management theories, decision-making processes, motivation, leadership, communication, and organizational culture. The course aims to develop managerial thinking and problem-solving abilities essential for effective management in dynamic business environments.

Md. Mehedi Hasan is a management and leadership scholar with expertise in human resource management, sustainability, and social entrepreneurship. He holds an MSc in Management and Leadership from the University of Pécs, Hungary, an MBA and BBA from the University of Rajshahi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Bangladesh Institute of Management. His professional development includes programs in faculty development, quality and productivity management, social compliance, and risk and insurance management. His research focuses on Circular Economy, SDGs and livelihoods, women empowerment, and microcharity, contributing to both academic knowledge and practical solutions for organizational and social development.
