Investigating the Factors of Motivation and Their Impact on Job Engagement among Public and Private University Faculty Members: A Comparative Study Based on Two-Factor Theory

This study examines the motivational factors influencing job engagement among faculty members in public and private universities, drawing on Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory. Using a comparative quantitative approach, the research analyzes how hygiene factors and motivators affect levels of engagement, commitment, and involvement in academic work across the two institutional contexts. The findings provide practical insights for university administrators and policymakers to design motivation-driven strategies that enhance faculty engagement and academic performance.
