Coloniality in Clay: Environmental Injustice in Bangladesh’s Brick Industry

This study investigates environmental injustices in Bangladesh’s brick industry through the lens of coloniality and postcolonial power structures. Using qualitative research methods, the study explores how socio-economic marginalization, labor exploitation, and ecological degradation intersect in brick-making communities. The findings highlight systemic inequalities in environmental governance and labor practices, offering insights for policymakers, activists, and development practitioners to promote sustainable, equitable, and socially just industrial practices.
