Polycrisis and Livelihood Vulnerability in the Coastal Communities of Bangladesh

This thesis explores the multiple, interacting crises environmental, social, and economic facing coastal communities in the Sundarbans region of Bangladesh. Using qualitative research, the study examines the factors contributing to polycrisis, how these factors exacerbate challenges for local livelihoods, and the socio-economic impacts on community well-being. The research also investigates potential policy and strategic interventions to mitigate these risks, offering insights for sustainable development, disaster preparedness, and resilience-building in vulnerable coastal areas.
