This master’s project investigates the ship-breaking industry along the South Asian coast, analyzing it through a post-colonial perspective. The study examines the hazardous working conditions, labor exploitation, and socio-economic dynamics faced by workers, while highlighting the legacies of colonialism and global economic structures that shape the industry. It combines qualitative insights to uncover the human and environmental costs of this critical yet often overlooked sector.
