Causal Effects of Paternity Leave on Work–Life Balance: The Moderating Role of Cultural Norms

This study examines the causal impact of paternity leave on employees’ work–life balance, with particular attention to the moderating role of cultural norms surrounding gender roles and caregiving. Using a quantitative research design, the study analyzes how access to and utilization of paternity leave influence fathers’ time allocation, family involvement, and workplace well-being, while also exploring how societal expectations shape these outcomes. The findings contribute to debates on gender-equitable labor policies and provide policy-relevant insights for designing family-friendly workplace practices in culturally diverse contexts.
