This thesis examines how students’ seating preferences and classroom physical conditions, such as lighting, ventilation, temperature, noise levels, and peer influence, affect their attention and academic performance. Using a quantitative approach with data from undergraduate students at a Bangladeshi public university, the study explores the mediating role of attention in linking classroom environment and seating choice to academic outcomes. The findings offer practical implications for educators and university administrators in designing learning spaces that enhance student engagement and performance.
