Bitap Shavan Bachhar has deep interest on oil based figurative painting and figure drawings .  More than decade, working on oil medium he found a way in which this medium can also survive in such a wet weather. In his painting using figure and symbol he create conceptual story for his viewers.  Light, shade and mysterious symbol with figure/figures  there is  some  inlay story to discover from his painting. Bitap has completed his BFA an MFA with both first class first in position (In BFA he ranked top of the  Faculty) in Drawing and Painting from University of Dhaka.

I have been working persistently as a painter and art teacher for a long time. In terms of educational qualification, I have completed BFA(Homours) and MFA degree in Drawing and Painting Department from Dhaka University. In the BFA exam I stood first class first in position with merit by getting the highest marks among in the faculty. I got 1st class first in position in Masters also.

For a long time I have been working and researching in elite medium like oil paint. Despite the worldwide prevalence of this medium, reading fungi is a common problem. Which is a hindrance in its practice. I have developed my own method to eliminate that. Through this, those working on this media and its collectors will be able to preserve it very easily.

Besides, I have been involved in various levels of education for a long time. I worked as lecturer in Barisal Cadet College from 2014 to 2015 and  as assistant teacher in Agrani School and College from 2015 to 2018 for more than 3 years. Form joined as a lecturer in 2018, currently I am working as an assistant professor in drawing and painting discipline in Khulna University.

     2021       :       First prize Award winner (Ga - Group 19+) in "Bangabandhu o Bangladesh" art competition 2021. Organised by  Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Ministry of cultural affairs.
