Pottery is one of the traditional carriers of Bangladesh. This is not only art but also the history and tradition of Abhaman Rural Bengal. Pottery has been flooding mankind all over the world for hundreds of years. The main component of pottery is soil. Due to natural causes suitable soil for making pottery is found in large quantities in almost every river bed. And the use of soil in the rural folk life of Bangladesh is so extensive and varied that without soil the life of the common people of the country can not be imagined, we have been making our daily necessities of pottery-Kosan, Sara, Hari, Pot, Jug, Doll, vase, idol etc.
