Welcome to CSE Discipline

In 1991, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Discipline of Khulna University (KU) started its academic activities with only 20 undergraduate students. Since then, around 800 undergraduate students (of 18 batches) graduated from this Discipline. A perfect 100% proud graduates are working in different government and private organizations as well as in teaching professions in home and abroad. Currently, CSE Discipline is taking 40 students at the undergraduate level in each year. With the support from the Ministry of Science and Information Communication Technology, CSE Discipline has been conducting Post-Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGD-IT) since 2001. The Discipline has already achieved its target by producing around 200 PGD-IT Professionals.

Welcome to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Discipline at Khulna University (KU). Recognized as one of the leading disciplines in Bangladesh, it stands out for its remarkable progress and achievements. Our vision is to cultivate a robust research and teaching environment that nurtures future computer scientists and engineers. As the second institution in Bangladesh to offer computer science and engineering education, the Discipline commenced in 1991 with an undergraduate program, initially enrolling 20 students. Currently, the intake has increased to 40 students, attracting the best talents of Khulna University.Our faculty comprises experienced educators who have earned PhDs from prestigious universities in countries such as Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Norway, Korea, and Malaysia. We pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that promotes a strong teacher-student relationship. Both teachers and students actively engage in various activities to enhance the Discipline’s excellence.Research endeavors have brought significant recognition to the Discipline both nationally and internationally. Students also benefit from an environment that supports participation in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, encouraging personal and professional growth.Our mission is to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate education, blending theoretical and applied aspects of computer science. We aim to equip students with the skills to address real-world challenges, empowering them to pursue lifelong, rewarding careers and maintain a competitive edge in the dynamic global work environment of the 21st century.
