Md. Solaiman Jony is serving at the Education Discipline of  Khulna University as an Assistant Professor. He is an experienced educationalist with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education sector and non-profit organization management industry. This course focuses on the geographical, historical, sociological and cultural aspects of BangladeshThe objectives of the course are to:

- help learners to develop an understanding about geography, climate, natural resources, ethnic composition, language, etc. of Bangladesh

- assist learners to develop an understanding of the history of Bangladesh including ancient Bengal, pre-Mughal, Mughal, British and Pakistan period

- help learners to develop an understanding on political, administrative and economic systems in Bangladesh and relevant issues.

Fundamentals of Statistics

This course presents the fundamental concepts and computational techniques of elementary statistics. Topics studied include statistical graphs, measures of central tendency, standard deviation, percentiles, probability, binomial and normal distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and linear correlation/regression. The objectives of this course are to enable students  to:


- perform basic statistical analyses of real-life data sets.

This course deals with the cultural heritage of Bangladesh from ancient times to the present and familiarizes students with the cultural setting of the people to make them aware of Bangladeshis national identity.
