Abstract
Electronic Voting Machine is a promising system of casting vote in any erection. Most of the available Electronic Voting Machine does not have any built-in voter identification process with it. So the system is not secured enough to ensure the perfect voting of the appropriate person. As a result, it may be misused and the main objective of the system may be hampered. Our aim is to design an Electronics Voting Machine with built-in voter identification system. In the proposed system, the hardware unit will be connected with a computer through the parallel port. The fingerprint as well as the information of each voter of any particular polling station will be stored to a database using the software unit which will act as the voter database. When a voter wants to cast his/her vote, then the voter will put the appropriate finger on the fingerprint scanner. This fingerprint will be checked with the fingerprint of the database by the software unit. If it is matched with any fingerprint of the database, the software unit will enable the hardware unit and the voter will be able to cast the vote. Otherwise, the software will generate a report that the person is not recognized and the hardware unit will be remaining disabled. The vote of that person will be stored to the database and the vote of each candidate will be automatically incremented depending on the votes of the voters. The person will not be able to cast his vote for any candidate more than once. After the casting of the vote of the voter, his fingerprint will be disabled from the database. So, he will not be able to cast his vote again. Finally, the result of that particular polling station will be generated by the software unit.
