Factor Influencing the Caesarian Section Deliveries: Evidence from Five Developing Countries

Cesarean section is the most commonly performed surgical procedure in obstetrical care in which incisions are made through a woman's abdomen and uterus to deliver her baby. The objective of this study is to assess factors associated with cesarean section deliveries using evidence from five developing countries. The main independent variable is women’s education, Husband’s education, place of residence, wealth index, Body Mass Index, Birth Order, mother's age at first birth, Antenatal Care & Husband’s Education. Applying the Binary Logistic Regression model we have found almost all factors have a significant influence on cesarean section deliveries for all five countries.
