Antidiabetic and Toxicity Studies of Ethanolic Extract of Diospyros montana Roxb. Leaves in Mice

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and impaired insulin signaling, necessitating long-term pharmacological management. However, current antidiabetic therapies are often limited by side effects, high costs, and reduced efficacy with disease progression, highlighting the need for safer and better alternatives. The present study evaluated the ethanolic leaf extract of Diospyros montana Roxb. through a combination of phytochemical, pharmacological, and in silico approaches to assess its antidiabetic potential.
