Trend of Using of Smartphone Applications: A Study on a Public University Bangladesh

This paper presents a study on using smartphone applications among students of Khulna University. Students (N=120) from various disciplines and schools at Khulna University have participated in completing survey questionnaires. Among 120 respondents 119(99.2%) use smartphone applications and 1(.8%) doesn’t use application.

Based on this data, the using of smartphone applications are evaluated, by categorizing usage into 3 types; normal usage, social media usage and usage for learning of applications. Results indicate that majority of students use social networking apps. Secondly they use apps in learning purpose.
