Room No: 3359, Second Floor, Kobi Jibanananda Das Academic Building, Khulna University, Khulna-9208.
I am Chuton Deb Nath, an Assistant Professor in the Mass Communication and Journalism Discipline at Khulna University, Bangladesh, where I teach and conduct research on the vital role of communication in society. I am currently expanding my expertise through a second Master of Arts (M.A.) in Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), where I also serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
My expertise spans both academic theory and practical application. My research interests lie at the intersection of Interpersonal, Family, and Health Communication, specifically exploring the influence of mediated communication technologies on the virtual communities’ health outcomes. I employ a mixed method of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in my investigation. Prior to academia, I worked as a Communication Assistant at the government's highly impactful a2i (Access to Information) project. In this role, I helped catalyze citizen-friendly public service innovations, bringing government closer to the people.
I have earned Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University
of Dhaka and am a recognized fellow of the U.S. State Department's
Social Media Training and Campaign project (iERN-BD). I was also honored with
the Development Communication Fellowship of the Center on Budget and Policy. I
am passionate about utilizing communication to drive social impact and
scholarly understanding.
