BA (Hons) in English is a four-year program designed to expose the students to English language, linguistics, and literature along with a broad range of multidisciplinary general education courses in humanities, social sciences, computer and ICT literacy, and data management. The core and elective courses advance students’ knowledge and understanding of English language, linguistics, and literature while the general education courses broaden horizon of the students and facilitate their understanding of the core and elective courses. The program helps the students become highly skilled, versatile, and independent thinkers with research experience, analytical skills, computer and data management literacy, and communication and interpersonal skills necessary for an advanced professional career in teaching, research, authorship, translation, journalism, civil service, and inter-disciplinary administrative positions or further academic study at the Master’s or PhD level.
