The English Discipline at Khulna University organized a session in its ongoing Seminar Series on August 18, 2026, at the Multipurpose Room of the Arts and Humanities School. The seminar featured two insightful presentations: a keynote address titled "The Dotara and the Violin: Cultural Relocation in Translating Rilke" by Dr. Mohammad Raihan Sharif—Professor and Chair of English and Director of The Language Centre at Jahangirnagar University, and a paper titled "Anthropocentrism Reconsidered: Religion, Human Responsibility, and Environmental Ethics" by Md Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of English Language and Literature at North Western University, Khulna, who is currently pursuing his PhD in the English Discipline at Khulna University.
