Nakshikantha in Folk Art of Bangladesh

Nakshikantha is  a rich branch of folk art in Bangladesh. This art has been flourishing in rural area. Women use old fabrics, threads and needle to create this beautiful work of art that is admired all over the world today. The main attraction of Kantha is the use of motifs. The use of motifs has given special status of Nakshikantha. This paper is submitted to find the value of motif.
