SMART MONITORING AND CONTROL OF NUTRIENT FILM TECHNIQUE HYDROPONIC SYSTEM USING ADAPTIVE NEURO-FUZZY INFERENCE SYSTEM(ANFIS)

Nowadays everyone knows about the need to lead a healthy lifestyle, including the need

to include vegetables in food. That is why it is necessary to increase production of vegetables

because people now demand them. At the present time, the most frequently applied

method of supporting growth is the use of soil which is undoubtedly rather ineffective

and lengthy process taking large amounts of space. For the purpose of making cultivation

up-to-date, it is expedite to integrate hydroponic methods . However, the confrontation of

hydroponics can be problematic due to the needling accurate pH and nutrient requirement.

The previous research has promoted the hydroponic pH and nutrient control using Sugeno

fuzzy method there is no standardized procedure for constructing the fuzzy method.

However, in Sugeno fuzzy method there is no standardized procedure for constructing

the fuzzy controller relies on the knowledge of Sugeno hydroponics. In order to overcome

this problem, a smart hydroponic system utilizing ANFIS base on collected data set

to control the pH level automatically and controlled by IoT. This research demonstrated

that using the system, one gets closer to the ability to control the right amount of pH and

nutrient concentration so plants grow in better way. Moreover, the % accuracy demonstrated

by the ANFIS optimized fuzzy controller is 67% higher than creating the fuzzy

controller using the Sugeno type fuzzy method controller using the sugeno type fuzzy

method. In addition, the web application dashboard of the proposed system has also been

discussed in this paper.
