Transplanted Aman growth, yield and nutrient uptake as affected by phosphorous levels

A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the influence of P fertilizer (Triple Superphosphate) rates on the growth, yield, and P and K uptake of rice crops. The experiment was carried out in the Robi season (August-December). The physiography was high Ganges River Floodplain. Highest panicle length was observed at T5: (P2O5 125 kg/ha) treatment. Treatment T4: (P2O5 100 kg/ha) was the best for T. aman grain yield. P and K content for grain, straw, root and for the biological yield were affected by phosphorous treatments. Highest P uptake by T. aman rice grain was observed at T6: (P2O5 150 kg/ha) treatment. P and K uptake for grain, straw and root were also affected by applying phosphorous fertilizer.
