Applying biochar may help manage soil and nutrients in a sustainable and efficient manner, as well as mitigate the impacts of drought on crops. In this work, studies will be carried out to evaluate the effect of soil amendments on soil physical, chemical and physicochemical properties, growth and yield of rice seedlings. The amendments tested will include rice husk biochar, silicon, and biochar + silicon, while no amendment will be taken as the control.
