On 5th October, 2025, Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman Shahin has joined English Discipline as the new Head. Professor Dr. Md. Shahjahan Kabir completed three years tenure of his headship and the next senior professor of the Discipline, Dr. Abdur Rahman Shahin took over the headship of the Discipline. A simple handover and acceptance ceremony was held at the office of the Discipline Head to mark the occasion. Teachers, officers, and staffs of the Discipline attended the event. Floral greetings were presented to both the outgoing and the new Head of the Discipline. It is noteworthy that Professor Dr. Md. Shahjahan Kabir’s tenure ended on September 29, 2025. As the university was closed from September 26, 2025 to October 4, 2025 the handover process was completed on October 5, 2025 in accordance with the appointment letter.
