Altering ‘the Other’: A Post-colonial Reading of Rudyard Kipling’s “The Man Who Would Be King”

This study analyzes how the colonizers and the colonized people are portrayed in Rudyard Kipling's "The Man Who Would Be King." It is discovered that Kipling used a representational framework based on a predetermined set of preconceptions to support the colonization of India. It is found that the author has used a series of preconceptions to prove the inferiority of the native Indians.
