Suitability of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman for Teaching Grammar (MA in Language project)

This study aims to show how the language learners can develop their grammatical knowledge through a literary text, especially a drama. A literary text contains different types of grammatical items which help the learners to learn language effectively. In this study I have chosen Arthur Miller's drama Death of a Salesman as a text to show how the teachers can teach the grammatical items by using this drama. By studying drama the learners become familiar with grammatical structures in contexts. They can also get the knowledge about the proper use of language to communicate, to order, to request, to inform and so on in their practical life.
