Equity in Kaiser Haq’s Published in the Streets of Dhaka

Inequity is one of the prevailing phenomena that exists in the modern world. It gives birth to disorder, chaos, discrimination, disintegration, and class distinction both in national and international levels of life. As a result, social equilibrium as well as world peace is in a vulnerable condition. Kaiser Hamidul Haq, as a poet, extending the boundaries of his vision with the consciousness of being a citizen of the world, tries to portray, in his poetry, the underlying factors that create these problems through inequity. He also gives some suggestions and solutions to overcome them with the vision of a mutual world and of peace. This paper focuses on these very aspects in Haq's Published in the Streets of Dhaka, and attempts to trace how he tries to create a standpoint decentring everything in which every individual would be able to reach a state of equity.
