Travel Demand Modeling for Sustainable Urban Mobility in Khulna City

The traditional four-step travel demand model will be used in this research to analyze and forecast future traffic patterns in Khulna City. The four-step model is commonly used for urban transport planning. It offers a systematic approach to estimate how people move within a city and how different scenarios affect travel demand. This method works very well for evaluating how different development approaches impact sustainable urban transportation. It helps planners to simulate changes in traffic, travel patterns and use of various modes of transportation in various situations. The four-step model is still a useful and effective approach for cities with limited data and resources, despite the availability of more recent models. In many nations, it is still widely used for strategic transportation planning.
