Aged

disaster compare to other sections of people in society like aged men and
youth. They are relatively poor and economically vulnerable especially in the
developing countries like Bangladesh. This study was conducted to explore

The specific objectives of the study was to find out the socio-economic
condition of the affected aged-women in the study area; to identify the nature
of health services to aged-women; and to explore the influences of salinity
intrusion on infectious diseases of aged-women in the study area. For this

coastal region in Bangladesh were chosen purposely as the study area. The population
of the study was aged-women whose age between 60 and above currently living in
the study area is already affected by salinity intrusion. A total of 40 women were
selected by using purposive sampling. This study was qualitative and explanatory in nature as it
explored the probable influences of salinity intrusion on infectious diseases
of aged-women. FGDs and Case study methods were used to collect primary data
from the relevant field. Data were collected through thematic interview,
following semi-structured interview schedule. This study explains effects of
salinity intrusion on aged-women in Dacope Upazila and reveals women are mostly
