Funder by Christian Aid his study investigates the landscape of digital entrepreneurship in the south-western coastal region of Bangladesh, focusing on Dumuria of Khulna and Tala of Satkhira. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative data collection through interviewer-administered structured questionnaires with qualitative insights gathered from key informant interviews and focus group discussions. The findings reveal a growing interest in online marketing among entrepreneurs, driven by its accessibility and potential for reaching wider audiences. Social media platforms are the primary channel for customer engagement, highlighting their immense potential for online businesses. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy, technology access, and traditional mindsets persist. Qualitative analysis highlights challenges faced by entrepreneurs, including limited digital literacy, access to technology, and mindset shifts. Despite government initiatives to support digital entrepreneurship, there is a need for targeted interventions and collaborative efforts to address these challenges effectively. Recommendations include enhancing digital skills among entrepreneurs, expanding access to technology and infrastructure, and streamlining regulatory frameworks. Future research avenues focus on longitudinal studies and the impact of specific platforms on digital entrepreneurship. This study contributes to understanding the dynamics of digital entrepreneurship in Bangladesh and offers actionable insights to foster its growth and resilience in the study region.
