Aquatic ecology: Collecting samples from river, pond and ocean.
Analyzing water nutrients (like phosphate-phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen),
dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand. pH, hardness, turbidity, plankton
abundance, diversity, primary productivity etc. Operating ADCP/CTD and digital
meters. Time series data logging, processing and forecasting.
Fish population dynamics: Estimating fish stock, growth, recruitment,
mortality, MSY, MEY.
Statistical analysis: Various analytical models (linear, GLM),
data distributions (normality test), data transformation as well as various
parametric (such as simple t, pooled t paired t test, one/two
way ANOVA, MANOVA, LSD etc) and non-parametric (Chi-square, Spearman rank
correlation test, etc) inferential tests. Time series data analysis (moving
average, Spectrum analysis).
Qualitative techniques: Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA), Focus
Group Discussion (FGD), SWOT analysis.
Computer skill: Basic computer knowledge, MS office (word, excel,
