ADAPTIVE DELTA MANAGEMENT FOR CLIMATE RESILIENT AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY IN SOUTH-WEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL COASTAL BANGLADESH (ADM-CRAFT)

The Adaptive Delta Management for Climate Resilient Agriculture and Food Security in South-West and South-Central Coastal Bangladesh (ADM-CRAFT) project is a multidisciplinary international research initiative that aims to strengthen the resilience of coastal agricultural systems against climate change-induced salinity intrusion. The project integrates scientific knowledge, local experiences, and stakeholder participation to co-design climate information services and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) that improve agricultural productivity, environmental sustainability, and food security.

A key feature of the project is the establishment of a Living Lab, which serves as a collaborative innovation platform where farmers, researchers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders jointly identify problems, co-design solutions, test technologies under real field conditions, and evaluate their effectiveness prior to transferring to the farmers widely. In addition, this project will co-design nature-based solutions (NBS) for sustainable agriculture and aquaculture practices in saline areas and co-develop climate information services to empower crop and aquaculture farmers coping with climate change impacts in Delta region.
