Mr. Ghosh is working as a faculty member (Associate Professor) in Environmental Science Discipline of Khulna University since 2011 and at both graduate and post graduate levels, he teaches a number of diversified courses, which embrace Physical Environment (Geology), Quaternary Environment (Quaternary Geology), Surficial Processes and Landforms (Geomorphology), Soil Environment, Hydrology, Water Pollution, Noise Pollution, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Law and Policy, Wetland Management and Resource Evaluation, Integrated Water Resource Planning and Management, Environmental Economics and Management, Environmental Valuation and Management, Biostatistics in Environmental Science.
Generally, Mr. Ghosh's research underlines appraising the environmental quality issues that are currently undergoing by the coastal populace and also the coastal urban agglomerates located in the Lower Bengal Delta of Bangladesh in one of the largest geosynclinal basins of the world.
Till January, 2025, over 50 undergraduate research students and 15 postgraduate research students have completed their Bachelor and Masters level thesis/dissertations respectively under my direct supervision in the field of hydrological science, environmental economics, soil chemistry, noise pollution, public health and nutritional issues.

v Received South Asian Water (SAWA) Fellowship at the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh under the Crossing Boundaries (CB) project implemented by SaciWATERs (South Asian Consortium for Interdisciplinary Water Resources Studies) based in Hyderabad, India and the Irrigation and Water Engineering Group at Wageningen University, The Netherlands, and as part of the fellowship, participated in a field work by visiting at Mahaweli Irrigation Project (Mahaweli System H) of Paradeniya, Sri Lanka in the context of IWRM concept in water management, organized by University of Paradeniya, Sri Lanka during 17th to 22nd May, 2010
