I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Khulna University, Bangladesh. My research interests include environmental economics, development economics, climate adaptation, and migration policy. I completed my Master of Arts in Economic Policy in Global Markets from Central European University in Vienna, specializing in empirical microeconomic policy and impact evaluation. During my graduate studies, I completed a research internship at the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) in Belgium and undertook an advanced inequality analysis course at the Levy Economics Institute in New York, USA. I am also actively engaged with the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE).

My research focuses on applying empirical and causal inference methods to address policy-relevant issues in developing countries, particularly in areas such as climate risk, environmental economics, public health interventions, and migration policy. My work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Economics of Disaster and Climate Change, Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies, International Journal of Social Economics, and International Journal of Disaster Risk Science. In addition to my teaching responsibilities at both undergraduate and graduate levels and supervising thesis students, I actively contribute to the academic community by serving as a reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals. I am also engaged in research projects related to sustainable development and policy evaluation in Bangladesh.
