Willingness to Pay for Ecosystem Services in Disaster Risk Reduction in South-Western Coastal Bangladesh

The purpose of this study is to investigate Willingness to Pay for Ecosystem Services in Disaster Risk Reduction in South-Western Coastal Bangladesh. The study will investigate these aspects in terms of socioeconomic status, problem faced for different natural disaster. Purposive sampling technique has been used to select 240 household that faced natural disaster frequently. At first I select two upazilla Shyamnagor and Koyra Upazilla that are main disaster risk area after that four union selected randomly from two upazilla. At last eight villages selected purposively from each union equally two.  Data analysis tools like percentage, mean, median, frequency distribution, tables, chart, graph, bar diagrams etc. has been used for this study. Findings of the study will mainly show that average amount of money the people will agreed to pay for disaster risk reduction. From household both male and female respondents will include. What are the main disaster hazard they faces and how ecosystem based disaster risk can applied that is the main motive of this paper. How ecosystem can be adopted in this area that will discuss.
