Call for Professional Training Course: Sustainable Urban Water and Sanitation
URP Discipline of Khulna University plans to organize
a professional training course on ‘Sustainable Urban Water and Sanitation’
which is committed to contribute to planning and implementation of quality
sustainable urban water and sanitation services, where the rights, needs, and
demands of all citizens, including those of marginalized groups, are
considered. Additionally, it will support sustainable development goal (SDG) 6,
‘clean water and sanitation’. The training will be implemented as a change
project through which the URP Discipline will engage the WASH sector to drive
forward new knowledge and innovation across WASH sectors and disseminate among
young professionals. Continuation of the professional training course by URP
Discipline will also facilitate a network and knowledge sharing platform that contribute
to the long-term goal of sustainable WASH and services for all. The
‘Sustainable Urban Water and Sanitation- Integrated Processes’ international
platform created by WaterAid, and NIRAS will help URP Discipline to implement
this professional training course. The training course will target students,
faculties and early career professionals who already started working with urban
poor or aimed to develop a career in the WASH sector. The training will be
executed via online zoom platform and facilitated by the faculties from URP
Discipline, SUWAS alumni, and WASH professionals.
