The second lecture of homecoming lecture series happened online on 15 February 2021. Dr. Mohammad Shahidul Hasan Swapan from Curtin University, Perth, Australia presented his lecture titled as ‘SMALL LOT HOUSING AS A MEANS TO REALISE COMPACT CITIES: THE CASE OF PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA’. Mohammad Shahidul Hasan Swapan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Design and the Built Environment at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He holds a Ph.D. from Curtin University and Masters from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Before joining Curtin University, Australia, he was a full-time faculty at Urban and Rural Planning Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh. He was also a student of URP Discipline (97 Batch) and current alumni. His research interests cover green adaptation, informal green space, ecosystem services, TPB Models, place attachment, co-production, participation outcomes, PPP, disaster risk paradigm, informality, SDGs, and resilient cities. Homecoming Lecture Series is a signature lecture series of URP Discipline.
