The first career
talk happened online on 07 February 2021. This talk was presented by Mohammad
Ishtiuq Hossain and Sk. Md. Ashraful Islam. Mohammad Ishtiuq Hossain holds a Bachelor
degree in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University. He completed a
Master’s degree in MSc. Urban Management from Technical University, Berlin,
Germany. Currently, He is working as a Technical Advisor - Climate Policy in
ACCNLDP project in GIZ. Sk. Md. Ashraful Islam was also a student of URP
Discipline (2003 Batch) and current alumni. He is now working with GIZ as Senior
Coordinator -Urban Livelihood Planning in Urban Management of Internal Migration
due to Climate Change (UMIMCC) & Urban Management of Migration and
Livelihood (UMML) project. Exiting students and alumni participated in this
event. Mohammad Ishtiuq Hossain and Sk. Md. Ashraful Islam talked about their
career path and highlighted the values and preparations that future graduates
of Urban and Rural Planning Discipline of Khulna University should focus on to
be a successful development practitioner. Career talk is a signature event of
Urban and Rural Planning Discipline to create a knowledge sharing platform for
our graduates in relation to their future employability. This event will seek
cooperation from successful professionals from varied fields to showcase their
career paths to motivate existing students of Urban and Rural Planning
Discipline of Khulna University in shaping their future career.
