The
first lecture of homecoming lecture series happened online on 28 January 2021.
Dr. Khan R. Rahman from Saint Mary's University Halifax, Canada presented his lecture
titled as ‘MODELING LOCAL WARMING USING REMOTE SENSING DATA’. Khan Rubayet
Rahman is an Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Geography and Environmental
Studies at Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Canada. He holds a double Ph.D.
from the University of Tokyo and the University of Calgary. He did his Post-Doc
at the University of Alberta. Before joining SMU, Canada, he was a full-time
faculty at Urban and Rural Planning Discipline, Khulna University, Bangladesh.
He was also a student of URP Discipline (94 Batch) and current alumni. Homecoming
Lecture Series is a signature lecture series of URP Discipline. This lecture series
brings distinguished researchers, practitioners, and academics from our
wide-ranging alumni network for inspiring current students and graduates in
accomplishing their future strives.
