End line Study of Household Income Employment and Food Security Project in Khulna and Bagerhat Districts

The endline study addresses the following research question: to what extent did the project contribute to livelihood adaptations of extreme poor people? Answering this question involves looking at the number of graduating households, and assessing this has improved the lives of beneficiaries in some of the following areas: increased economic security of the extreme poor households through increased income, expenditure, asset ownership and savings; improving food security; increased health security through accessing to health services and improving households’ hygienic practices; accessing to basic services; improving dwelling security; and reducing vulnerability and increasing social capital. Additionally, the study also looks at sustainability of project benefits. It also seeks to indentify and produce evidence some of the major factors driving sustainable graduation, and those that prevent households from graduating sustainably.  In this study, I performed the following responsibilities: to write research proposal; to coordinate field survey; to develop coding for qualitative data; to analyse qualitative data; and to write final report.
