Skills Need Assessment of Rohingya Youths

This research intends to identify potential trades /occupations and level of skill needs of the refugees living in the camps of Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char along with labour market demand in Myanmar so that they can cope their livelihood upon return by adopting convergent parallel mixed methods research design. The skill needs assessment will guide the UNHCR’s project in selecting occupations for vocational training and understanding gender-specific barriers preventing women's participation in non-traditional occupations. The skills development project will target the refugees with prequalification for technical skills training or who had experience working in the job category in Myanmar or as volunteers inside the camps.
