Application of Geospatial Techniques for Landslide Risk Modelling: A Case Study of Cox’s Bazar District in Bangladesh, funded by Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh

This research intends to contribute to this knowledge module and deepen the risk assessment perspective. The findings of the research will be conducive for government and non-government organizations to understand the landslide risk management mechanisms of the study area and will facilitate the implementation of landslide risk management projects by making essential data available and offsetting additional costs. Consequently, the characterization of hazardous areas and landslide risk zonation will be instrumental in spatial planning, site suitability assessment, risk-sensitive land use planning, sustainable livelihood management, and priority setting for resource allocation in any geographic setting, such as Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh.
