Food and Agriculture Organization facilitated Green Cities Initiatives in Khulna and Jhenaidah- A Pilot Project

The project conducted comprehensive assessments of existing urban green spaces in Khulna and Jhenaidah to determine their current condition, usability, and potential for improvement. It also organized workshops and meetings with local government authorities, community leaders, and residents to gather input, share information, and garner support for green city initiatives. Additionally, it also planned and implemented community based green infrastructure projects such as parks, community gardens, and green corridors to enhance the urban environment, promote biodiversity, and mitigate the effects of climate change.
