Oxfam’s Baseline Survey of CCK project- ‘Creating Women Leadership for Resilience’ in Munda Adibasi (Indigenous) Community in Climate Vulnerable Area of Shyamnagar, Satkhira.

Oxfam initiated the CCK project in response to the challenges faced by women in Munda communities. As part of this initiative, the organization commissioned a baseline study for the Munda community to establish fundamental data that would facilitate an understanding of the community's grassroots context and aid in tracking project progress throughout its lifespan. The primary objective of this baseline survey is to comprehensively assess the socio-economic and environmental context of the Munda community in Bangladesh, with a particular emphasis on their climate-resilient income-generating activities, social acceptance in local markets, gender discrimination, and the efficacy of the project in addressing the root causes of unequal gender relations and discrimination against women and girls.
