Livelihood Sustainable Plan for AIGAs

The consultant is expected to find out all probable risk of livelihood unsustainability. Mitigation plan and measures for this kind of unsustainability. Consultant also prepares monitoring framework to ensure the livelihood sustainability with the consultation and involvement of Co-Management Organisations (CMEC, VCT, CPGs). Duties and responsibilities of the consultant includes:

• Collect, collate, and synthesise necessary information and data from suitable and authentic sources.

• Liaise and collaborate with relevant Universities, experts, research institutions, networks, government departments, NGOs, and community members.

• Conduct extensive visits in the communities, discussion with the livelihood beneficiaries of the EPASIIAE Project, Bangladesh Forest Department (BFD) officials and CMOs.

• To understand the key mechanisms of previous success of the given AIGAs by other GO/NGO initiatives to reduce dependency on the forest resources for a sustainability basis.

• To understand existing risk and threats of previous failure of the given AIGAs by other GO/NGO initiatives. Finding out the probable risk of unsustainability in future. 

• Organise and attend meetings, consultations, workshops, brainstorming sessions as required, and prepare related documents and reports with beneficiaries & CMOs, One workshop in Khulna & one workshop in Dhaka.

• Prepare a Strategic Livelihood Sustainability Plan comprising the monitoring framework to oversee the selected trades (AIGAs) by CMOs, or other entity including BFD and prepare the Remedial steps to recover the failure of the selected trades. 

• Produce reports and documents as per necessity of the project management. 

• Present his/her work and findings in the meeting of project board and/or any other levels and addressing the relevant feedbacks. 

• Contribute to the dissemination of study finding and actualization of relevant output.
