Multiplicity In a spatiality segregated low income Settlement.

Abstract

The typical concept of spatial segregation, which pinpoints the restriction of using any space, limited human interaction, activities and functions, has been opposed because of the multiplicity of space, place and heterogenous attributes of humans. With the time being, the purpose of space changes, and so the evaluation, inasmuch to meet all needs, a space develops multiple social fabrications. Thus, the dynamism of space and interactions among different classes limits the concept of spatial segregation. Not only that, homogeneity is another traditional thinking of segregation. But every human being is different from one another according to their diverse characteristics; therefore, a community cannot contain a homogenous population. Guard Para Slum has been examined with these two ideas,' Multiplicity' and 'Heterogeneity', and their stories have been analyzed using thematic analysis and NVivo is used for illustrating the present context. Findings show that multiplicity and heterogeneity can question the concept of segregation, and for these two factors, segregation cannot be possible in a community.
