I completed both my Bachelor (2011–2015) and Master’s (2016–2018) in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University, Bangladesh. My professional journey began in 2016 when I joined Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) as a Research Assistant under the project Democratic Decentralization and Promotion of Accountability in Urban Development of Bangladesh.

In 2017, I continued as a Research Assistant with the Khulna University Research Cell (KURC), working on Livelihood Adaptation after Cyclone of the Coastal People. My focus was on vulnerability assessment, resilience measurement, and the institutional role in climate adaptation. Later that year, I joined Jagrata Juba Shangha (JJS) as Project Officer (Monitoring & Documentation) for a SIDA-funded project on strengthening civil society and public institutions for climate resilience.

In 2018, I joined Tiller as an Urban Planner for the Payra-Kuakata Comprehensive Plan (PKCP) under the Urban Development Directorate (UDD). I led studies on socio-economics, land use, disaster risk reduction, and climate change.

In 2019, I moved into humanitarian response with BRAC as an Emergency Response and Preparedness Officer under the Site Management Support, HCMP Project in Cox’s Bazar. My work focused on disaster risk reduction, contingency planning, and community safety. Later that year, I joined UNDP as Technical Assistant – Earthquake Preparedness under the National Resilience Programme (NRP), where I spent over two years working on preparedness planning, vulnerability assessments, and community drills.

From 2021 to 2023, I worked as Local Advisor at GFA-Tiller JV for the Climate Resilient Inclusive Smart Cities (CRiSC) project supported by GIZ. I facilitated stakeholder engagement and resilience planning for pilot cities in Sirajganj and Satkhira.

I then advanced at Tiller as Senior Urban Planner and Business Manager (2023–2025), contributing to urban development, project management, and climate-smart planning.

With more than eight years of experience across research, humanitarian action, international development, consultancy, and now academia, I have built strong expertise in urban planning, climate resilience, and disaster preparedness. On 24 September 2025, I joined Khulna University as a Lecturer in Urban and Rural Planning, where I aim to bridge practical field experience with academic research to advance sustainable and inclusive urban development in Bangladesh.
