Biolaw is a specialized field of law that deals with the legal and ethical implications arising from advances in the life sciences, biotechnology, and related areas. This research intends to explore these emerging area of law and life related sciences named, Biolaw. The study aims to analyze the existing legal framework, evaluate global biolaw standards, assess the prospects of the legal framework, and provide recommendations for enhancing the current system. The research explores the potential for developing and implementing a comprehensive legal framework governing biosciences and its ethical implications in Bangladesh. The research report begins with an introductory chapter that highlights the background, statement of the problem, objectives (general and specific), research questions, literature review, justification, and methodology. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing primary and secondary sources of data collection, including questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The conceptual discussion delves into key concepts such as bioethics, medical ethics, Islamist bioethics, feminist bioethics, and principles of bioethics and biolaw. The conceptual framework considers the current position of Bangladesh, the global perspective, and the determination of prospects. The third chapter of the research report explores the global legal framework, including human rights instruments, international declarations, and conventions related to biolaw. It also discusses best practices from different countries, highlighting their approaches and experiences in biolaw implementation. The Bangladeshi legal framework is examined in fourth chapter, analyzing the protection provided by different laws, regulations, and policies related to biolaw. The weaknesses of the current framework are identified. Various aspects such as abortion, animal rights, cloning, genetic testing, and more are discussed for knowing the Bangladeshi legal position in these specific issues. Using a qualitative research methodology, the study has an analysis of data drawn from a variety of sources. Questionnaire in five point Likert scale and interviews were conducted for getting insights from the different stakeholders of the relevant fields. Data analysis and discussion present the findings derived from the collected data, addressing inadequacies and flaws in existing laws, vulnerabilities in current practices, and the prospects of biolaw in Bangladesh. The research concludes with recommendations for developing a comprehensive biolaw framework, removing flaws in current laws, strengthening institutional capacity, promoting public awareness, and fostering international cooperation. This paper suggests that Bangladesh should make new law or amend the existing to keep up with the progress of science and technology in medicine, medical, biological, pharmaceutical, viii and life sciences. Perspectives from law, ethics, human rights, and sustainable development has all been taken into account while formulating findings and recommendations. The results of the research are going to be used to assist Bangladesh in developing an efficient and comprehensive biolaw framework that is aligned with international standards, safeguards human rights, and encourages responsible and environmentally friendly biotechnological advances. The findings will provide policymakers, researchers, and other key stakeholders with information on the steps that need to be taken to guarantee that the growth of biosciences and biolaw in Bangladesh is ethical and responsible.
