Salinity Induced Changes in Expression Patterns of Two Body Fluid Regulatory Genes in the Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon)

Undergraduate (Honors) Thesis: The candidate conducted this thesis under my supervision on the role of body fluid regulatory genes in acclimation to different salinity levels by the black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon). Osmoregulation is considered as the principal mechanisms for survival and adaptation to different environmental salinity conditions. This thesis evaluated the expression patterns of two body fluid (hemolymph) regulatory genes (CHH and DH) in the black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) with experimental salinity changes.
