Salinity Induced Changes in the Expression Patterns of Two Selected Osmoregulatory Genes in the Black Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon)

Undergraduate (Honors) Thesis: Osmoregulation is the key physiological function for adaptation and persistence to variable salinity environments by the aquatic species. rapid changes in the underlying genes determines the survival of the species inhabiting different salinity regimes. This thesis evaluated the role of two important genes (Aquaporin and Claudin) for tolerating salinity fluctuations in the black tiger shrimp.
