Mud Crab Culture as An Adaptive Measure for The Climatically Stressed Coastal Fisher-Folks of Patuakhali District

Broad objective

Building adaptive capacity of climatically vulnerable poor marginal coastal fisher-folks   with special focus on improved socio-economic status.

Specific (immediate) objectives

(i)     To provide the rural coastal fisher folk a hands-on training on eco-friendly mud crab culture technology, and supports to aquaculture extension service.

(ii)   To make crab culture as a livelihood option for the fisher folk, especially for female.

(iii) To assess the local feasibility of the proposed project in the context of economics, market, local environment and climate adaptation.
